First, I hate to see a plow on a classic SUV/truck. The ad claims there’s no damage, though.
What’s particularly odd:
The price is suspiciously low given the current bull market in classic SUVs (especially when you consider the Toyota tax)
The ad was placed here in Indianapolis despite apparently being in Washington
Yet it’s incredibly detailed with lots of pics, contrary to what I’d expect from a scam
P e rhaps it’s a scam taken from a legit listing somewhere, dunno.
Anyway, PNW, there may or may not be a very interesting FJ-40 in your area.

The ad clearly states that it's in Leavenworth, WA.. I wonder if they posted it nationwide somehow?

E lectrics in the engine bay look “creative” at best, and you have to wear lederhosen while driving it given it’s from Leavenworth.

I’m not in to old 4x4s but I did stay in a really nice B&B in Leavenworth once. Nice drive.

Full catering is always standard when you stay in a Leavenworth*
* Leavenworth lodging standards vary , as each Leavenworth independently operated...

Looks legit to me. It’s still $22K for an OK condition FJ40.
MY PERSONAL ISSUE: I hate CL ads where they don’t include an actual contact, but instead rely on the CL email randomizer, which generally means you get an email response 12% of the time.

O ur CL in SoCal is always full of “wishful thinking” ads from somewhere else in the country for dubiously-maintained 40 year old Mercedes and BMWs that the seller in Kansas or Missouri or Florida is convinced will incent an Angeleno to fly across the country to overpay for.

The drive from Seattle to Leavenworth was great. The ride from Leavenworth to Spokane was the most boring of my life. Setting the cruise control to 130 was nice, though.
